You approve a secure read/write connection in your own WordPress admin ( WooCommerce’s built-in authorization screen). * **Storefront chat widget.** Add the Supportify chat bubble to your store with a single widget key. * **Real store data.** The assistant looks up orders, customers, products and coupons through the official WooCommerce REST API. A Supportify account is required. Per-session pricing with a free monthly tier — see https://supportify.no. ### External services This plugin connects your store to Supportify AI, a third-party customer-support service, to power the AI assistant and the storefront chat widget. Using the plugin is opt-in: nothing is sent until you click “Connect to Supportify” and, separately, enable the widget. What the plugin does and what data is sent: * **Connecting your store.** When you click “Connect to Supportify”, the plugin redirects you to Supportify to start WooCommerce’s built-in authorization (wc- auth). After you approve, your store sends Supportify scoped WooCommerce REST API credentials and your store URL. Supportify uses those credentials to read store data (orders, customers, products, coupons) needed to answer customer questions, and to perform only the actions you enable (e.g. order cancellation, refunds, coupons, customer updates). * **Chat widget.** When you add your widget key, your storefront loads the Supportify widget script and sends customer chat messages (and minimal session context) to Supportify to generate replies. Data sent to Supportify: your store URL, the API credentials you authorize, the specific store records required to answer a given customer question, and chat messages submitted through the widget. No data is sent for visitors who do not use the chat widget. Install and activate the plugin. 2. Go to **Supportify AI** in the admin menu. 3. Click **Connect to Supportify** and approve the connection in your WordPress admin. You’ll then sign in to Supportify to finish setup. 4. Copy your **widget key** (cb_…) from the Supportify dashboard and paste it on the settings page to show the chat widget on your storefront. ## FAQ ### Do I need to create API keys manually? No. The “Connect to Supportify” button uses WooCommerce’s built-in authorization flow, so the keys are generated and handed over securely without copy/paste. ### Is my data sent anywhere? The assistant queries your store through the WooCommerce REST API to answer customer questions. See Supportify’s privacy policy at https://supportify.no. ### Pretty permalinks WooCommerce’s REST API requires “pretty” permalinks (Settings Permalinks any option other than “Plain”).
